ANGELIKI PAPADOPOULOU
From the “macaroni” of the Aegean to the modern ceramic jewelry The potter Angeliki Papadopoulou loves the earth and uses the clay that she knows well about the endless creative possibilities of the material both in the processing and in the aesthetic result. He believes in the physical relationship with clay, and its strong positive effect on the human body. The journey with the “Macaroons” of the Aegean started from the proposal of the Art Space “Ichra Blue” of Lemnos for the creation of ceramic jewelry that concerns the tradition of the island. Lemnos was the great granary of the Aegean. The food for the body and the traditional ways of preparing them became an inspiration for the spirit. Thus were born the modern, abstract, ceramic jewelry of Angeliki Papadopoulou, with high fire clays and earth pigments. P r e c i o u s E art h A second rare piece of jewelry was added along the way, highlighting the unsurpassed beauty of the nature of the clay material. With a special personal technique he mixes different clays of every temperature and through the fire he achieves their transformation into valuable energy works of art for the human body from the timeless of the earth.
