Opie Zouni was born in Cairo in 1941, where she studied painting (1959-1962) at the Zorian workshop, ceramics at the American College (1960-1962) and photography (1959-1960). In 1963 she settled permanently in Athens, where she continued her studies at ASKT, initially in painting (1963-1968), with teacher Giannis Moralis, and ceramics (1963-1965) and later in set design. decoration (1967-1969). She had her first solo exhibition in 1962 in Cairo and continued with a number of other solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, such as the Biennale of Sao Paulo and Alexandria. In her work, which moves in the field of geometric abstraction, she has given a characteristic personal idiom.
